When using a hydraulic torque wrench for bolt tightening, it must be connected to a hydraulic pump to provide pressure. To improve tool efficiency, besides mastering correct operating methods, regular maintenance is also essential. In this short article, let’s discuss the operating precautions for hydraulic pumps.
Operating Precautions for Hydraulic Pumps
.Before operating the hydraulic pump, check the hydraulic oil and add oil that meets the requirements strictly according to the oil level indicator.
.When adding hydraulic oil to the hydraulic pump, fill it to 80% of the oil window.
.After adding hydraulic oil, repeatedly switch the hydraulic station to purge the air inside.
.Before connecting devices, check the quick connectors for dust and fine sand particles. After use, cover the quick connectors with dust-proof items.
.The pressure of the hydraulic pump can only be adjusted from low to high; otherwise, it will be inaccurate.
.When debugging the hydraulic torque wrench and pump, do not conduct high-pressure debugging. The pressure should be below 2200 Psi.
.After work, release the pressure-regulating valve in time.
.Hydraulic oil hoses must not be dragged, pulled, or bent on the ground. They must not be coiled or rotated during use.
